BROOKLYN — A driver suspected of seriously injuring a 6-year-old boy in a Borough Park hit-and-run last month has been arrested, police said Wednesday.

Armando Mino, 53, struck the child as he crossed Fort Hamilton Parkway and 41st Street, dragging him several feet, according to the NYPD and surveillance video. Mino then got out of his minivan to check his bumper before driving off.

Police confirmed the driver was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and assault after turning himself in at the 66th Precinct, as WABC first reported.

The boy was rushed to Maimonides Hospital with a dislocated hip and survived the collision.
