BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police have released new video of a suspect wanted for an attempted knifepoint rape of a woman in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The man ran past the 24-year-old victim in the area around Louis Place between Herkimer Street and Atlantic Avenue just before 6 a.m. on  Aug. 21, officials said.

He then turned towards her with a knife and told her to follow him, leading her to an alleyway between 19 and 19A Louis Place where he assaulted her, according to police.

The suspect took off with the woman’s cell phone and fled in an unknown direction.

Police describe him as between 30 to 40 years old with a mustache, about 5-foot-6 and weighing 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a brown shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
