MOUNT HOPE — New Yorkers who have been charged with low-level crimes such as drinking in public or loitering can clear their records without getting arrested at an upcoming event in The Bronx.

The Bronx District Attorney's Office will host "Another Chance" on Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., an event meant to resolve outstanding warrants for people who have been hit with quality of life summonses.

It will take place at the Mount Hope Community Center on 55 E. 175th St. and is being held in collaboration with Legal Aid, the NYPD, the Office of Court Administration and the Mount Hope Housing Company.

Although the event is being held in The Bronx, residents of all five boroughs are eligible to attend and clear their records.

However, New Yorkers will not be able to resolve traffic tickets at the event, according to the Bronx DA's Office.

This is the first event of its kind hosted by new Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark, and it is meant to both give people charged with low-level crimes a fresh start and reduce the amount of cases that the court system needs to process, the DA's Office said.
