A tasty selection of the city's best food trucks are vying for the top prize at this year's Vendy Awards.

The annual street food competition, now in its 12th year, announced its four finalists Monday for the coveted Vendy Cup.

Among the trucks that made the cut are Cachapas on Wheels, the mobile version of an Inwood restaurant that dishes out authentic Venezuelan street food — perhaps most notably its yoyo, a sandwich that uses sweet plantains as the bun:

Gladi's Empanadas, based in East Williamsburg, Sunset Park's Oaxacan taco master, Tacos El Rancho and Washington Square Park's Traditional Chinese Cuisine round out the food fight on Sept. 17.

The Vendys, the city's biggest street food competition — and food festival on Governors Island — previously announced finalists for its other categories, including best dessert, and new bracket, best vegan food.

The Vendy Awards will also be premiering a series of videos featuring each of the Vendy Cup finalists, which were selected by an online vote. Those videos will launch Sept. 1 and will be available here.

The Vendy Awards are slated for Sept. 17, on Governors Island, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. For more information, and tickets, head to the website.
