CROWN HEIGHTS — This summer, several new restaurants — and some older spots, as well — have gotten into the brunch business in the Crown Heights area, offering menus full of creative takes on your favorite breakfast foods.

Beginning this weekend, Franklin Avenue newcomer BKW (the second location of the Williamsburg wine hub Brooklyn Winery) is set to start brunch service, bringing bread pudding French toast ($15), a breakfast burrito ($14) and grilled pastrami with eggs ($14) to their new restaurant at 747 Franklin Ave.

They’ll also have a full slate of brunch cocktails, including a “minimalist mimosa” using sparkling wine made at Brooklyn Winery. Brunch is served at BKW from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m on Saturdays and Sundays, the eatery said.

To help you live your best weekend life, we rounded up the top new brunch offerings in the neighborhood, including Crown Heights and Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Happy eating:

Butter & Scotch
818 Franklin Ave.

This boozy dessert spot recently began a brunch menu that will make any sweet tooth happy. Offerings include savory biscuits, slices of pie and a wide range of breakfast cocktails including white Russians, a chipotle bloody Mary and “coffee and donuts on the rocks” (cinnamon toast infused rum with espresso liqueur and maple syrup). Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pro Tip: When we ask if you want a fried egg on your Totchos, the answer is always YES. Brunch until 4! #queso4eva 🍳

House of Juice
642 Rogers Ave.

As its name suggests, this health-focused eatery specializes in juices. But it also has lots to eat, including a brunch menu begun this spring that includes a garden omelet wrap filled with veggies, a kombucha-spiked mimosa and a full slate of smoothies. House of Juice is open on Saturday at noon and closed on Sunday.

Streetsweeper
594 Rogers Ave.

On a normal day, this new Rogers Avenue pizza shop serves gourmet pies, but on weekends they serve pancakes, egg dishes, pastries and breakfast pizza (two eggs, sausage, creme fraiche, fresh mozzarella and fontina) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
