Woman's Cellphone Swiped While Feeding Baby in Brooklyn Bridge Park

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — A woman feeding a baby in Brooklyn Bridge Park had her cellphone and credit cards stolen while she was attending to the child, police said.

The 33-year-old victim left her Samsung Galaxy S6 in the cup holder of the stroller while feeding her baby at a playground in the park at about 1:05 p.m. Aug. 21, according to the police report.

Roughly 10 minutes later, she realized her phone was missing. Her cellphone's case also contained two credit cards, a driver's license and $25 in cash, which were also stolen.

Other notable crimes in the 84th Precinct, according to police, include:

► A man threatened to "cut up" a woman at Careland Pharmacy in Brooklyn Heights while taking $130 worth of Gilette shaving products and Sony headphones from the shop Aug. 21. The man began taking items from the store display when the 33-year-old woman confronted him. He brandished a knife and said, "leave me along before you get cut up." Careland officials declined to comment for this story.

► An iPhone, credit cards and keys were stolen from a locker at a New York Sports Club location in Brooklyn Heights. The victim was working out at the gym Aug. 16 and when he returned to the locker, it had been broken into.
