ELMHURST — A woman committed suicide by jumping in front of an M train killed Friday morning, according to police.
The woman standing on the platform leaped as a southbound M train entered the Elmhurst Avenue station at 8:54 a.m., according to the NYPD and MTA spokesman Chris McKniff.
The fire department, NYPD and emergency services were at the scene, the FDNY said.
Service was disrupted on E, F, M and R trains between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Queens Plaza, according to the MTA website.
