ELMHURST — A popular Vietnamese restaurant caught fire early Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

The fire was sparked inside a duct in Pho Bang, at 82-90 Broadway, at about 9:30 a.m., fire officials said.

It took firefighters around 45 minutes to put out the blaze, according to the FDNY.

The restaurant's windows had all been broken, with damage to the ceiling. Workers were cleaning up on Thursday afternoon, but declined to comment.

Pho Bang is a Vietnamese chain restaurant, with outposts around the city including Flushing.

It was not immediately clear when it would reopen.
