MIDTOWN — A K2 dealer carrying more than 180 hand-rolled joints and 15 bags filled with synthetic marijuana was arrested after police spotted him selling to a customer near Madison Square Garden, officials said.
Kariym Jackson, 35, was standing on the sidewalk at the corner of West 31st Street and Seventh Avenue around 8:05 a.m. Thursday when an officer saw him hand a joint to a customer in exchange for cash, a complaint filed with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office said.
When the officer searched Jackson, he found a joint filled with synthetic marijuana in the dealer's hand, the complaint said.
Jackson had another 180 K2 joints and 15 clear plastic bags filled with K2 in his bag, the DA’s office said.

He was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacture, distribution or sale of a synthetic cannabinoid and synthetic phenethylamine and possession of synthetic phenethylamines and synthetic cannabinoids, the complaint said.
The customer who bought the joint was also arrested, the DA's office said.
The Midtown South Precinct posted a photo of the K2 Jackson was carrying following the arrest.

Jackson is currently being held on $2,000 bail and is scheduled to next appear in court on Aug. 19, the DA’s office said.
Jackson’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
