Man in Critical Condition After Baseball Bat Beating in Brooklyn

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are looking for a man who they say beat another man with a baseball bat on Albany Avenue this week, leaving the victim in critical condition.

The assault took place as the 48-year-old victim was walking down the avenue near Midwood Street at about 9 a.m. on Sunday. Police said the suspect approached the man from behind, hit him in the head and repeatedly beat him on the ground before fleeing on foot down Rutland Road.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where he is still undergoing treatment in critical condition, the NYPD said.

The police department released a photo of the attacker on Tuesday.
