UPPER EAST SIDE — A burglar stole thousands of dollars in electronics and jewelry from an East 74th Street apartment last week, police said.

The thief forced open a locked window of an apartment on East 74th Street near Second Avenue at about 9 a.m. on Aug. 4 and stole two Apple laptops, two Michael Kors watches, rings and a laptop charger, according to authorities.

The haul was worth $4,450, police said.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, came home from work to find his property missing, his window open and the front door ajar, police said.
