UPPER EAST SIDE — An ex-girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld was robbed of $1 million worth of jewelry, police and a news report said.

A burglar broke into fashion designer and socialite Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss's East 61st Street home and stole the jewels from a safe on June 25, according to the NYPD.

Somebody broke into the home, between Lexington and Third avenues, through a door on the roof, got into a safe and rummaged through several drawers, police said.

Police confirmed jewelry was taken but did not have information on what kind or its value. Sources told the New York Post that it was worth $1 million worth and that Gruss had been in the Hamptons at the time.

Gruss, 41, runs her own fashion line of dresses and swimwear called Shoshanna. She dated Jerry Seinfeld, who was 21 years her senior, in the 1990s.
