A gourmet ice cream give-away is on its way to Washington Square Park.
New on-demand baby-sitting app, Hello Sitter — kind of like Uber for babysitters — will be giving away artisanal ice cream sandwiches from Melt Bakery on Aug. 13, inside Washington Square Park, to celebrate its launch.
The app, which lets parents book a sitter in as little as an hour, launched last month in New York.
The tasty ice-cream sandwiches will be handed out from noon to 4 p.m. at the park.
Hello Sitter will also give away free credits for babysitting, along with the icy treats.
