Grab a $532-a-Month One-Bedroom Apartment in the Bronx

MELROSE — New Yorkers can score a new one-bedroom apartment in the South Bronx for as little as $532 a month at an affordable housing complex in Melrose.

The building at 3160 Park Ave. contains a total of 151 new units for households making between $19,612 and $105,100 per year.

Five one-bedroom units are available for $532 a month, while 25 are available for $847 a month and 15 are available for $1,208 a month.

Additionally, 10 two-bedroom apartments are available for $647 per month, while 39 are up for $1,025 a month and 30 are up for $1,458 a month.

The building contains three-bedroom units as well, with four going for $745 per month, 11 going for $1,182 per month and 12 going for $1,683 per month.

Eligible city employees, residents of Bronx Community Board 3 and people who have visual, hearing or mobile disabilities will receive preference for a percentage of the units.

Applications must be submitted by Sept. 9, and prospective tenants can either apply online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or request an application via mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to 3160 Park Ave., 87-14 116th St., Richmond Hill, NY 11418.

Applications will be selected for review via lottery after the deadline has passed.
