LOWER EAST SIDE — A woman slashed and bit a man outside the Delancey Street-Essex Street subway station Saturday, police said.

The 26-year-old victim told police he was standing on Delancey Street at around 1 a.m. when the suspect, who had been staring at him, said “You have a problem,” according to officials.

The woman then approached the victim, pulled out a sharp object and cut him across the right palm, then bit him on the left forearm, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear if he required medical attention.

The victim had initially told police the incident had started in the subway station near the ticket booth, but police later discovered while interviewing the victim that the entire incident took place on the street, according to a police report.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
