18-Year-Olds Arrested For Loaded Gun Found in Red Hook Hotel Room: NYPD

BROOKLYN — Two teens were arrested after a loaded gun was found in their hotel room in Red Hook, police said.

A housekeeping employee at the 17 Seabring St. Comfort Inn walked into the hotel room July 29 and saw a Taurus 709 Slim 9mm, according to police. 

Authorities were alerted and following an investigation, two 18-year-old men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

Police declined to name the two suspects who were arrested.

Other notable crimes in the 76th Precinct, according to police, include:

► A 26-year-old man was arrested July 27 for stealing $200 worth of Tide laundry detergent from a Rite Aid in Carroll Gardens back in May. The suspect and a woman entered the pharmacy at 320 Smith St. on May 30 and fled with 20 46-ounce bottles of Tide in a shopping cart. The female suspect remains at large.
