WILLIAMSBURG — Starting next week Bedford Avenue is set to become your one-stop shop for asparagus infused water, vegan sprouted ancient maize flakes, kaleamole and all the iPhones your heart desires.
Whole Foods, America's self-proclaimed "healthiest grocery store" located at 238 Bedford Ave. is slated to open July 26, with the Apple Store at 274 Bedford Ave. following shortly thereafter, officially opening their doors on July 30 at 10 a.m.
Starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Whole Foods will be giving custom tote bags designed by Audrey Louise Reynolds to the first 250 shoppers and fans who follow the store on Twitter (@wfmbrooklyn) could win decorative "avocado toast" and "kale knuckle" tattoo pins.
(In case you are confused about what an avocado or kale pin is.)
The grocery store's Williamsburg outpost will feature locally sourced products from Brooklyn Bread Lab, baked goods and frozen pizzas from Roberta's, pints of OddFellows Ice Cream Co., coffee from Brooklyn roasters, Toby's Estate and beers from Long Island City Transmitter Brewery.
And at a food court section of the store will bring in vendors like Luke's Lobster, boasting "traceable seafood," vegan and vegetarian specialties from No7Veggie and Hawaiian fare East Coast Poke.
Freelancer office space rental company, WeWork, opened in the same building in February.
Four days later on Saturday morning the Apple Store down the block is slated for its grand opening.
