Brooklyn Bridge Park Soccer Players Robbed Twice in 3 Days, Police Say

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Soccer players in Brooklyn Bridge Park had their bags and other property stolen in two separate incidents this month, according to police.

On July 10 between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., a 24-year-old man left his bag on the ground while he went to play soccer at Pier 5, according to the police report.

When he returned, the bag was missing along with an iPhone 6 and miscellaneous credit and debit cards.

A few days later on July 13, two other men left their property unattended while playing soccer at the waterfront park, police said.

The victims, 32 and 33, lost an iPhone 6, a Samsung Galazy 6S, Nike Airmax sneakers worth $120, cash, shoes, clothes and credit cards, authorities said.

Other crimes in the 84th Precinct, according to police, include: 

► An $8,000 Cervelo bicycle was stolen from a Dean Street building in Boerum Hill between 2 p.m. on July 12 and 8:15 a.m. on July 13. The thief entered the building and took the pricey bike through the fire access door, which is a common area, according to the police report.
