PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — An 18-year-old was robbed at gunpoint while stopped in a car at a red light, police said.

The teen was driving northbound on Rogers Avenue near Hawthorne Street around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday when an unknown man came up to the passenger side of his BMW, tapped on the window with a handgun and told the victim to open the car’s door.

The suspect then got into the vehicle and demanded the 18-year-old’s cellphone, wallet, hat and jewelry. The teen gave him his iPhone, wallet, two diamond stud earrings and an “NBA Finals” baseball hat, worth about $1,300 in total.

The suspect then fled southbound on Rogers Avenue on foot. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have yet been made in the robbery, police said.
