Man Slashed in Attempted Robbery in The Bronx, Police Say

CLAREMONT VILLAGE — A man was slashed during an attempted robbery in The Bronx Tuesday morning, police said.

The victim, who is in his 40s, was at 870 Jennings St., near Charlotte Street, about 4 a.m. when a man in his late 20s tried to rob him, an NYPD spokesman said.

The would-be thief slashed the victim but fled empty-handed, police said.

The victim was treated at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital where he's listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspect wasn't immediately arrested, police said.
