If you're looking to explore upstate this summer, you could make your trip a boozy one.

The craft beer industry is growing rapidly in New York, with the number of craft breweries in the state almost tripling since 2012. (That year, Governor Cuomo signed legislation permitting brewers using locally grown products to sell beer by the glass without an additional permit.)

According to the local beer news site Brew York, there are 275 licensed brewing facilities in New York, and 29 with pending licenses, which should be opening soon.

The site mapped them all out in the interactive graphic below. The red pinpoints indicate breweries that feature taprooms or restaurants where customers can buy beer to drink on the premises or take away. Yellow pinpoints signify breweries that are licensed, but closed to the public. Many of these sell their goods at farmer's markets. Orange pinpoints mark breweries with pending licenses.

According to Brew York's map, the majority of New York City's existing breweries, 11 out of 24, are located in Brooklyn.  There are additionally two breweries in Staten Island, three in Manhattan, three in the Bronx, and six in Queens.

Four more breweries, with pending licenses, are in the works: Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. in Astoria, and three in Brooklyn — Interboro Spirits & Ales in East Williamsburg, Wartega Brewery in Greenwood Heights, and Five Boroughs Brewing Co. in Sunset Park.
