UNION SQUARE — A drug dealer armed with a stun gun tried to make a run for it after police spotted him selling in Union Square Park last week.

Raymon McQuilla, 25, was caught selling drugs to someone in the park at about 5 p.m. on June 28, police said.

When officers moved in to stop him, McQuilla tried to run away and then flailed his arms when officers tried to cuff him, police said.

After a search, McQuilla was found carrying marijuana, cocaine, two pipes, a knife and a stun gun, according to authorities.

The arrest occurred on McQuilla’s birthday, records show.

Prosecutors charged McQuilla with drug and weapons possession and resisting arrest, according to court records. A judge ordered him held on $1,500 bail pending his next court date on July 15, according to court records.

A lawyer for McQuilla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
