Clint Eastwood is bringing the story of the Miracle on the Hudson to the big screen with "Sully," a film about the pilot who safely landed a plane on the Hudson River, saving everyone onboard.
Tom Hanks stars as Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, the pilot who guided US Airways Flight 1549 on January 15, 2009.
The movie is based on the pilot's memoir "Highest Duty." It depicts the events that lead to the plane's crash landing on the Hudson, and the media circus that followed. The trailer also stresses that Sullenberger's competence as a pilot was questioned after the events despite the fact that everyone on board survived.
