CROWN HEIGHTS — Police have identified a man they say is responsible for at least two burglaries in a pattern of home break-ins in the area this month.

The man is suspected of taking cash and an Apple computer from a home on Union Street near Rogers Avenue on June 3, police said.

The suspect struck again on June 9, taking bags, electronics, jewelry and a pair of Nike Jordan sneakers from a Carroll Street home between New York and Brooklyn avenues in Crown Heights, according to the NYPD.

Police released surveillance footage of a man walking down a Crown Heights alleyway wearing dark pants, a zip-up sweater and sneakers with a multi-colored baseball cap.

The two burglaries are part of a pattern of eight separate thefts in the neighborhood in which a burglar or crew broke into the rear door, window or basement entrance to homes, taking thousands of dollars in property, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is encouraged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or the 71st Precinct at (718) 735-0511.
