COLUMBUS CIRCLE — A man was slashed across the neck at the 59th Street-Columbus Circle subway station Monday morning following a dispute aboard a northbound A train, police said.

A verbal spat broke out between two groups aboard the subway that spilled onto the platform about 1:30 a.m., an NYPD official said.

A 21-year-old man then slashed another 21-year-old across the neck, police said.

He was taken to Cornell Hospital and was expected to survive.

Police arrested the attacker nearby. A female suspect was also taken into custody, but she was not believed to be involved in the attack, police said.

Charges were pending, police said.
