Man With Knife Steals $800 From Crown Heights Bank, Police Say

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are looking for a man who held another man up at knifepoint inside a neighborhood bank in April.

The suspect walked up to a 58-year-old man in a Chase Bank at 257 Utica Ave. around 3:35 a.m. on April 29, according to police. He threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money. When the victim handed over about $800 in cash, the suspect ran off.

No one was physically harmed in the incident, police said.

A surveillance camera inside the Chase Bank captured a photo of the suspect who police describe as about 5-foot six. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and black jeans.
