MANHATTAN — A 19-year-old woman was busted for having more than 40 glassine envelopes of heroin and a large butcher knife in her car after she tried to pay a toll on the George Washington Bridge with counterfeit $10 bills Monday, according to the Port Authority

Willow Martin handed a toll booth clerk three counterfeit bills at about 10:30 p.m. on June 13 while she was heading from New Jersey to Manhattan, an agency spokesman said. The worker alerted the Port Authority police and they stopped her vehicle at a bridge safety zone.

The officers noticed her car smelled like marijuana and asked Martin for her identification.

Martin, who lives in Connecticut, told them she did not have any form of ID, including a driver’s license, and then tossed a small bag onto the back seat.

Officers searched the bag and found 10 envelopes of suspected heroin and assorted drug paraphernalia.

They then found five counterfeit $10 bills and the large knife.
