This new eatery comes from East Village restaurateur Ori Apple, owner of popular modern Israeli restaurant Timna. Dinghy serves up street-style Mediterranean food with a high-end twist, featuring $3 to $14 dishes such as hummus made fresh with each order, chicken shawarma sandwiches, fried calamari and shakshuka.
Holy Moly That Pizza’s Good, 766 Classon Ave., Crown Heights

After several name and management changes, the quirky pizzeria once known as Pete Zaaz has reopened as Holy Moly on Classon Avenue, serving a new menu with more local and natural ingredients that still includes potato pie and a fried chicken pizza, two Zaaz favorites. The new manager, once a business partner of the original owner Pete Entner, says Holy Moly is similar to the old eatery, but “definitely upgraded.”
