MIDTOWN — Several NYPD officers tackled a man on a Citi Bike as he, seemingly unaware, rode toward President Barack Obama’s passing motorcade Wednesday, according to the NYPD and video of the incident.

The 59-year-old man appeared to be riding south on Park Avenue nonchalantly when he attempted to cross 50th Street at about 6:20 p.m., just before the motorcade crossed the avenue, an NYPD spokesman said and video showed.

An officer then tackles the man to the street moments before motorcycles leading the motorcade drive by.

Officers then cuffed the man while he was on the ground after the tackle, which was first reported by NBC New York

The man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct, the NYPD spokesman added.
