'Tis the season for frozen treats, and if yogurt is your treat of choice, finding your nearest fix just got easier.

An interactive map posted online this week by data analyst and blogger Brian Weinstein shows the locations of all the froyo shops in Manhattan and computes the closest one to every lot in the borough.

According to the map inspired by the work of I Quant NY author Ben Wellington, the greatest concentration of frozen-yogurt-y goodness centers around the intersection of West 33rd St. and 8th Ave. There, three shops can be found within a one-block radius.

Harlem is, comparatively, a froyo desert, the red dot on the map below indicating the address farthest from frozen yogurt in Manhattan. It will take you 51 minutes to trek to the Pinkberry in Morningside Heights if you live at 700 Esplanade Gardens Plaza, estimates Weinstein, who identified frozen yogurt locations through Google's Places Nearby function.

You could use Weinstein's map to satisfy your daily froyo cravings. You could also  — if you're as much of an addict as the former Columbia graduate student is — use it to inform your apartment hunt.

Weinstein, who lived within a four-minute walk of that Pinkberry in Morningside Heights when he first moved to New York, has since moved to a building in Harlem 24 minutes away by foot from the nearest place that can satisfy what he calls "[his] near-constant craving for this cold candy soup."

We imagine that decision is topped with some regret.
