How does an ad company end a colorful battle of Post-it note art? With a giant hand dropping a giant mic, of course.
Earlier in May, companies in two buildings that sit across from each on Canal Street began something of a war of creative one-upsmanship, filling their windows with elaborate designs, all made from the sticky paper squares.
But the building management has called for a détente — or, really, it just wants all the covered windows to be cleared by May 31.
So, ad company Havas Worldwide, at 200 Hudson St., decided to go out with a boom, creating a massive yellow hand dropping a huge blue microphone, over six floors of its building.
The company has something of an advantage for the Post-it note grand finales, since it takes up more office space collectively.
Across the way, at 75 Varick St., this response was spotted: "put your money where your mic is"

The ad agency at 75 Varick is ending the sticky skirmish with a celebration, and unified goal - "sticking together" to raise funds for a veterans charity on June 1.
