GRAMERCY — Applications opened Friday for below-market-rate apartments in a new Gramercy building, with prices starting as low as $1,422 for a two-bedroom and $1,715 for a studio.
There are a total of 55 units available at a newly constructed six-story residential building at 325 E. 25th St., part of the Phipps affordable housing complex between First and Second avenues.
In addition to a round-the-clock concierge, amenities at the building include a package room, a backyard, and for an extra fee, laundry and a community room.

There are two slots open for studios going for $1,715 available to single people making between $60,138 and $76,200, and eight studios available for $2,376 to singles making between $82,800 and $104,775.
One bedrooms are available for monthly rates between $1,840 to $2,548 for singles making between $64,458 to $76,200 and families of two making between $77,932 and $105,125.
The most abundant style of unit — there are 22 up for grabs — are two-bedrooms available for $1,422 open to families of two making between $50,160 and $58,000; families of three making between $50,160 and $65,280; and families of four making between $50,160 and $72,480.
Seven percent of the units are set aside for applicants with disabilities and vision or impairment, and a preference will be given to current residents of Community Board 6.
The deadline to apply is July 27.
