The gorillas at the Bronx Zoo are just as excited for summer as you are.

The zoo's Congo Gorilla Forest exhibit is now home to five western lowland gorilla toddlers that are less than 3 years old.

Kamara, Mokonzi and Kidogo Njemba were born in 2015, and Mjukuu and Lincoln were born in 2014.

The adult male silverback gorilla Ernie sired all five of them with five different females.

The young apes are old enough to playfully interact with each other and with their parents, giving visitors to the zoo a chance to see how their personalities have developed and what their family dynamics are like.

The Congo Gorilla Forest exhibit at the Bronx Zoo is home to one of North America's largest groups of gorillas and has raised more than $12 million for the Wildlife Conservation Society's African conservation programs.
