FLATBUSH — A drunk man fatally stabbed a woman after he found her in bed with the mother of his four children Saturday morning, police said.

Alwasi Tyson, 35, had been drinking with the mother of his kids inside an apartment at 60 Clarkson Ave., near Flatbush Avenue, when he became too belligerent so she asked him to leave, an NYPD spokesman said.

Tyson, of Brownsville, returned to the apartment about 5:30 a.m. to find his old flame in bed with her new girlfriend, Toni Cox, 22, police said.

Tyson then stabbed Cox in the torso while his kids were nearby in the same apartment, police said.

Cox, who lived at the Clarkson Avenue address, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital, police said.

Tyson was arrested for murder, acting in a manner injurious to a child and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

In the past year, the Clarkson Avenue building has been the subject of scrutiny by local elected officials and housing advocates after the property's owner attempted to evict several formerly homeless tenants.
