It's dad's night out in Park Slope.

A vinyl record subscription service is hosting a "listening party" where music fans of a certain age will savor the 20-year-old sounds of Weezer's "Pinkerton" album Thursday night.

Vinyl Me, Please, which mails customers an LP record each month, is throwing the sonic time travel session at The Gate bar on Fifth Avenue and Third Street at the family-friendly time of 6 p.m.

Weezer fans at Thursday's party can wash down their nostalgia with a "tap takeover" by Sierra Nevada, which is offering a special beer pairing for each song on the album. For example, the “melodic and quirky riffs” of El Scorcho will be paired with Sierra Nevada’s Summerfest brew, according to a VMP spokeswoman.

Released in 1996, "Pinkerton" was considered by some to be the original emo record, and turned introspective musicians with chunky glasses into sex symbols. The album was recently sent to Vinyl Me, Please subscribers.

The Vinyl Me, Please service costs $23 to $27 a month and sends users an LP "pressed exclusively for Vinyl Me, Please members," an art print "inspired by the album," and a custom cocktail recipe.

Sounds like a Park Slope Father's Day present in the making.
