FLATIRON — Outdoor yoga, boardgames, and tech workshops are returning to the Flatiron plazas in June.

The annual series will bring a variety of classes, games and fitness classes to the plazas three days a week beginning next month, according to the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership, which is organizing the event.

The official schedule isn't out yet, but activities on the menu so far include a book-binding workshop with instructors from the Center for Book Arts and yoga classes from the folks at Yoga Shanti.

The series will run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from June 20 to Aug. 11, and updates on its schedule can be found on the BID's website.

► Tech Tuesdays will invite instructors from General Assembly, Baruch and Touro Graduate School for classes about all things technology.

► Wellness Wednesdays are dedicated to fitness classes lead by instructors from local studios.

► Throwback Thursdays will offer board games, including corn hole and a giant Connect-4.

The series will kick off with a celebration of the Summer Solstice, including a team effort with the National Museum of Mathematics to construct a polyhedron of 10 10-pointed stars in the North Plaza, with each point of each star corresponding with the highest point of the sun above New York on the longest day of the year.

The Museum of Mathematics pulled a similar stunt to celebrate the Winter Solstice in December, and Brown said she’s looking forward to seeing a sunny version of the activity.

“I’m excited to see how the solstice event plays out different from the winter one,” she said.
