EAST ELMHURST — Take a tour of the borough's jazz history on two wheels this weekend, with help from a local historic society and other experts.

"What a Wonderful World: Queens Bike Jazz Tour" kicks off at Cannelle Patisserie in East Elmhurst at 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 7.

The free tour is sponsored by the Queens Bike Initiative, which has hosted other creative bike tours to help promote their mission to expand bike lane access in neighborhoods across the borough.

Robert McMinn, a docent at the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona, will give historical background to riders throughout the tour, which ends at 3 p.m.

Members of the Corona-East Elmhurst Historic Preservation Society will also be on the tour to share the neighborhood's influence on jazz, as home to musicians including the Adderley brothers and Dizzy Gillespie.
