East New York Man Fatally Shot by Man Dressed as Construction Worker: NYPD

BROOKLYN — A 41-year-old man was fatally shot in broad daylight in East New York Friday morning by a man dressed as a construction worker, according to police.

Charles Jones was shot in the head and torso in front of his home at 518 Pennsylvania Ave. across the street from P.S. 13 at about 10:30 a.m. by a man wearing construction worker clothes and a white hard hat, an NYPD spokesman said.

Jones was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A suspect was not immediately arrested and the investigation is ongoing, according to the NYPD.
