VIDEO: Actors Ask for Divine Intervention From 'Porzingod' to Save Knicks

By Trevor Kapp | April 26, 2016 12:19pm

Actors John Leguizamo and Adam Mucci look to the heavens for help in turning around the Knicks while toasting rookie phenom Kristaps Porzingis in a video that’s making the rounds at the Tribeca Film Festival.

“We have walked through the shadow of last place. We have succumbed to ungodly forces who don’t even pass the ball,” Leguizamo says, kneeling before a massive Knicks altar.

“Lord we remember and worship the whole family of Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Mason and L.J,” he adds. “We call upon them now, their Eastern Conference titles, their soaring dunk supreme, their four-point plays… in their image, please resurrect this franchise. In the name of Van Gundy, we pray.”

Leguizamo and Mucci then transition to saluting Porzingis as their only hope for the disastrous franchise.

“Blessed are we now to have found our Messiah, a heavenly 7-foor-3 begotten by divine Latvian conception, an angelic presence in the paint, a pious touch from the perimeter,” Mucci says, kneeling before a painting of Porzingis.

The duo then runs through a list of nicknames for him, including “Porz Authority” “Scorezingis,” “Porzesus” and “Porzingod,” before Mucci adds, “And may Reggie Miller burn in hell.”
