Any political candidate risks humiliation when he eats in front of the press: chewing contorts one's face into all kinds of awkward expressions and food is, by nature, messy.
But Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump thinks his competitor John Kasich's eating habits are particularly mortifying, he told the crowd gathered at a rally in Rhode Island on Monday.
"I have never seen a human being eat in such a disgusting fashion," Trump said a day after news broke that the Ohio governor and Ted Cruz had teamed up to deny him the Republican nomination.
"He has a news conference, all the time when he's eating," the GOP presidential frontrunner said of Kasich, who made a point of trying local foods — such as pasta fagioli, spaghetti Bolognese, and sandwiches at Mike's Deli in the Bronx and a slice at a Queens pizzeria — in the days leading up to the New York primary election last week.

"This guy takes a pancakes and shoves it in his mouth," said Trump, who told his supporters he teaches his own children to take "small, little bites."
"Do you want that for your president? I don't think so," the real estate magnate concluded his ad hominem attack.
We submit that presidential candidates living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones ... and there's plenty of rocks to lob Trump's way:
For example, this picture of "The Apprentice" host sinking his teeth into a Domino's pizza slice with a "fired" contestant at his Trump Tower office in 2005.

And this Pizza Hut commercial in which Trump and his then-wife Ivana advertise stuffed-crust pies, most appropriately devouring them in formal wear.
It's hard for anyone to take small bites when you're eating a melting Ben & Jerry's ice cream bar.

This pork chop on a stick must have been delicious.

This chunk of steak, too. (Thanks for doing our work for us, Team Kasich!)
.@RealDonaldTrump, we were looking for some Trump steaks for the governor, but no one seems to sell them anymore. pic.twitter.com/zS5eLtfHOc
