New York's Finest are often thanked for their service. Today, we're thanking them for their contributions to Twitter.
At DNAinfo, we follow the NYPD's individual precinct accounts in part to stay on top of news about wanted suspects, recent arrests, and drug and gun seizures.
But we've also come to appreciate the glimpses they afford of the people working at the local precincts and in citywide squads, making the police department as a whole seem much more approachable.
We know they're judging you for wearing those "hideous" pouches we call fanny packs. And we've deduced they're well versed in pop culture.
Here's what they've taught us, and what we cherish most about them:
There are just so many creative ways of arranging seized contraband.
