Tulip season is in full swing — and the Upper West Side has some stunning arrays this season.
While Park Avenue may have medians chock-full of tulips, locals looking to explore a much larger collection away from the hubbub need look no further than their own backyard.
Specifically, the volunteer-run West Side Community Garden, on West 89th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues, has a diligent "flower committee" that plants and maintains the many beds in this 89,000-square-foot garden.
The beds are now home to more than 13,000 tulips that are currently in bloom.
The garden is the pride and joy of flower-loving locals, but there are lots of other places in the neighborhood to see this short-lived and colorful bloom before it's too late.
Tulips Fill the Broadway Malls

Tulips in bright oranges and reds can be found in most of the Broadway malls, or the medians along Broadway.
