BROOKLYN — One person was killed and two others were injured, one critically, after a fire broke out in a residential building in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Monday evening, according to the FDNY and sources.
The two-alarm blaze struck 203 Fenimore St. between Bedford and Rogers avenues at about 6:06 pm., an FDNY spokesman said. A person was found dead in the building and four firefighters were also taken to the hospital in stable condition, the spokesman added.

The fire was under control by 7 p.m. and firefighters were searching the home for other potential victims, fire officials said.

There was no immediate information on the cause of the blaze.
