CARROLL GARDENS — Neighborhood ramen joint Dassara Ramen quietly closed its doors earlier this month.

The restaurant, located at 271 Smith St. near Degraw Street, shuttered after the first weekend in April, it announced in a Facebook post.

Dassara opened in 2012 and was known for its creative menu, which included its popular matzo ball-topped "deli ramen."

But owners are hoping to re-open the eatery somewhere in the neighborhood.

"We are in the process of securing a new space (still in the neighborhood) and we hope (fingers crossed) to have an announcement soon," according to the Facebook post.

Management did not respond to a request for comment.

Dassara hinted at a possible move last year when co-owner Josh Kaplan told Eater that they were looking to "re-locate ideally in the area" after the Smith Street space was listed for sale or rent.
