BROOKLYN — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton wooed Latino voters in Sunset Park’s Industry City Saturday.

During Clinton's rally to mobilize the Latino vote at the Landing Cafe and Community — alongside Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez (D–Brooklyn) —  she praised the Dream Act's efforts to allow undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship and education, and said non-English speaking students should be given additional resources.

Clinton also touched on everything from defeating ISIS to the wage gap between men and women to her support for Planned Parenthood, and added that the April 19 primary in New York was a key one for her campaign.

"This primary is so critical ... I need to win big here in New York," Clinton told the crowd.

She drew a crowd that included longtime supporters as well as first-time voters, including 17-year-old Maryam Chishati, who said she planned to pick Clinton during her first trip to the ballot box.

Suzanna Brodskaya, 15, said she was excited to meet the presidential candidate after the speech.

"It was really awesome to have a leader shake my hand," Brodskaya said.

The appearance also drew protesters outside the event who criticized the choice of venue.

"This place represents displacement on steroids," protester Elizabeth Yeampierre said of Industry City.

Clinton has been making the rounds of New York in the final stretch before the primary, visiting The Bronx, Harlem and Crown Heights, among other venues.

Her Democratic opponent, Bernie Sanders, has also been touring the city, making stops in his childhood neighborhood of Midwood on Friday and stopping by Long Island City on Saturday.

The candidates will face off at a debate in the Brooklyn Navy Yard on April 14 but tickets are not available to the public, organizers said.
