Mugger Follows Woman Home and Snatches Purse Steps From Her Door: NYPD

COBBLE HILL — A woman was mugged as she entered her Cobble Hill residential building last Friday night, police said.

The 29-year-old woman was walking into her building near Hicks and Baltic streets at 11:30 p.m. when the unknown male suspect followed her in, police said.

As the woman approached her apartment, the suspect snuck up from behind and placed his hand over her mouth. 

He snatched her black Head Porter handbag, which held a gold iPhone 6 and miscellaneous credit cards, before fleeing the scene, according to authorities. 

Police described the suspect as a bald man wearing black jeans, black shoes and a black long-sleeved sweater.

No injuries were reported. Police have released a photo and video of the suspect
