As the cat cafe becomes passé, there's a new frontier in commercial cat cuddling: a cat spa experience.
This Saturday, spa-goers at the Aveda Lifestyle Salon at 456 West Broadway will get to cuddle cats and kittens from noon to 5 p.m.
The experience is being marketed as a "complimentary de-stressing cat cuddling service."
The felines are being provided by Best Friends Animal Society, an animal rescue organization that aims to save potential pets from kill shelters.
That means you can keep the de-stressing going for a $10 adoption fee if you connect with your cuddle-kitty. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before going to their new furever home.
