Whitney Wees
Where? Whitney Museum of American Art, 99 Gansevoort St., West Village
When? 10 to 11 a.m.
How Much? $5 per child, plus museum admission, which is $22 for adults. Museum admission is free for members and children under 18. Bookings for Whitney Wees are essential.

Families with kids aged 4 and 5 can learn about portraits, posing, and profiles in this special tour of the exhibition “Human Interest: Portraits from the Whitney’s Collection.”

Bindlestiff Spring Cavalcade
Where? Coney Island USA, 1208 Surf Ave., Coney Island
When? From 4 p.m.
How Much? $10 for those under 21, $15 adults
Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and Playful Productions present young amateur unicyclists, tap dancers, magicians, clowns and contortionists. They'll also feature world-class professionals, Broadway-bound singers and classically trained musicians.

The Ed Center at Brooklyn Bridge Park

The Ed Center at Brooklyn Bridge Park contains a 250-gallon aquarium filled with sea creatures from the East River and a scale model of Brooklyn Bridge Park. This weekend (and every weekend) you’re invited to take an in-depth look at the park’s ecology, history, and sustainable design.

Milstein Science Series: Wild Antarctica
Where? Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, American Museum of Natural History Central Park West at 79th Street, Upper West Side
When? 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
How Much? Free with museum admission
Wild Antarctica is a family-friendly science festival where participants can meet live penguins and learn about the coldest and windiest place on Earth via hands-on activities and performances. 

Are You Ready to Bring It? Children's Dance Battle
Where? Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center in Williamsbridge Oval, 3225 Reservoir Oval East, Norwood
When? 12 to 1 p.m. Repeats every week on Sunday through to May 15th
How Much? Free
Children ages 6 to 13-years-old are encouraged to join the crew at Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center in the Bronx to learn how to Stand Battle: a form of dance that is performed in parades. Students will work towards a public performance in Manhattan's Dance Parade on Saturday, May 21st.
