Whether or not you’re "feeling the Bern," here’s your chance to taste it.
The founders of Ben & Jerry’s will be handing out free samples of “Bernie’s Yearning,” the unfortunately titled ice cream flavor named for the lefty Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, in Union Square today at 5 p.m.
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, the brand’s eponymous dairy duo, hail from Vermont, which Sanders has represented in the Senate for decades, and have been enthusiastic promoters of their hometown hero since he threw his hat in the presidential ring.
Cohen announced the stunt in a tweet on Wednesday.

The ice cream in question is plain mint with a solid layer of chocolate at the top, which represents the “huge majority of economic gains that have gone to the top 1 percent since the end of the recession,” according to the packaging.
The creamy giveaway corresponds with a Bernie Sanders rally, which is taking place on Thursday evening in The Bronx.
