LONG ISLAND CITY — Another luxury building is set to open in Queens Plaza this spring, looking to lure renters from Manhattan and Brooklyn, according to the developer.
World Wide Group — which owns another building a few blocks away — will start renting the 124-unit residence "Luna" in May on Crescent Street just off of Queens Plaza South, the developer said.
Rents at the building will start at $2,000 for a studio and run up to $5,500 for a two-bedroom duplex penthouse that comes with 800-square-feet of private outdoor space, according to an announcement.
"It's clear that there is a great demand for this type of quality in Long Island City," World Wide Group Director Rachel Loeb said in a statement.
"We are welcoming residents from all across NYC in particular from Manhattan and Brooklyn; a testament to the transformation of the area into a thriving residential neighborhood."
The building will offer amenities like a fitness center, outdoor movie area, roof deck with barbecues, a bike room and 7,500-square-feet of retail shops on the ground floor, the developer said.
The Real Deal first reported on the property.
This is the second building in the Queens Plaza area for World Wide Group, which started renting apartments at QLIC last year — a 21-story building on Queens Plaza North that has a pool on its roof.
